Friends

In late March, my friend Cheryl was on Spring Break.  She & her boyfriend took a week-long road trip through Texas -- Houston, Austin & up through Dallas before heading back to Bentonville (Arkansas) where they live.  I was so excited to get the call from her telling me that they were stopping through Austin for a few days & wanted to have dinner!

Cheryl & I went to school together in Alma, graduated high school together, both went to Westark (UAFS) our freshman year of college, both transferred to Fayetteville to the UofA our sophomore years, and both graduated college in the Spring of 2003.  Not only that, her Dad used to work with my Uncle in Oklahoma... and she crowned me Miss Crawford County 2000 (she wore the crown in 1999).  I even traveled to Hot Springs to watch this beautiful lady compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant... and was there at quite a few of her preliminary pageants to cheer her on along the way!  Needless to say, me & Cheryl have a history & are great friends!

We ate at Threadgills in downtown Austin and had a great time!  (We left the boys out of this picture above, but us girls had to have our moment in the spotlight!)

It was great seeing you, Cheryl!  You & Jeremy come back & see us soon!!
