Okay, okay, okay....so I know it's not Valentine's Day yet. :)
We have gotten into a yearly habit of going out before V-Day actually occurs so we don't have to deal with the crazy crowds, crazy menus, etc. We started this after Austin was born and we discovered finding a babysitter on V-Day night was basically impossible. So, a couple of years ago, Brian & Leslie started joining us & now it's a tradition.
This year, we went out on Super Bowl Sunday night (February 1st). We tried a wonderful Italian restaurant at 360 & 2222 in Austin called "Siena Restiorante". It was amazing. We had calamari for appetizer & then I had chicken breast over steamed spinach with a portobello mushroom cap over the chicken. Justin had a wonderful filet steak that just melted in our mouths...and we topped it all off with tiramisu for dessert! It was heavenly!
We had a great time & decided that since we already had a babysitter at home with the kids (once again, our favorite gal, Brittany, saved the day!) & it was Super Bowl night, we'd hit up a local sports bar to watch the end of the big game. We walked in to Third Base...and needless to say, we were all a bit overdressed for a sports bar. Nonetheless, the guys (and Leslie) had a few drinks & we watched the last part of the game.
It was a great night...and made us realize how much we're looking forward to our cruise here in another few weeks!!
